The Coaching Concept: Ball, Body, Motion Concept

At TacTeq Football, we believe that the ball is the focus of the game, and thus, should be the focus of the player. The "Ball, Body, and Motion" concept is a critical aspect of our training philosophy. It refers to a system of technical play that is based on how the human body moves about the specific technique and what is the most effective and efficient way to produce the desired outcome with the ball. The "Ball" is the focus of the game and, thus, should be the focus of the player. "Body" refers to a player’s body relative to the ball. Adjusting a player’s body to the ball allows the player to execute a natural "Motion" in a specific direction. How we move relevant to the ball is critical to executing a technique efficiently and effectively. The Mid-line is an imaginary line from the top to the bottom of the player and through their center of gravity.

This divides our body into left and right. Naturally, if there is a cup to the right, you use your right hand to pick it up, and if you step with the right foot, the next step is with the left foot. This concept is applied to football, where the mid-line is used to adjust the player's body to the ball, allowing them to execute a technique efficiently and effectively in a specific direction. By applying the Ball, Body, and Motion concept, we aim to create players who are technically sound and can execute their skills efficiently and effectively during the game. This concept is an essential aspect of our training methodology and is used throughout all phases and formats of the game.
