Lee Chalmers – Owner TacTeq Football

Lee Chalmers is the owner of TacTeq Football. Lee received his BSC in Marketing and Business Administration in 1996 from the University of Mobile, Alabama, USA. Lee was a successful college soccer player, (All Conference, All Region, All American and Senior Bowl selection player) and played both outdoor and indoor professional soccer in the USA, until he returned to his home country, South Africa in 2000.

While in South Africa Lee worked and coached at the Premier League Supersport/Feyenoord Youth Academy, developing talented individual players for their step up into the professional ranks. He was named Supersport/Feyenoord youth academy coach of the year in 2003. Lee opened his first sports business in 2004, a technical coaching company/ soccer school, which ultimately led to the formation of Perx Pty Ltd in 2006. Perx went on to be a leading sports marketing company in South Africa, handling major sponsorship and marketing initiatives for major brands such as Coca Cola, Discovery Health, Snickers Chocolate to name but a few.


After Perxs’ involvement in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Lee was offered a position to be the assistant coach at the 9-time NAIA National Champions, Lindsey Wilson College in the U.S.A., which he accepted in August 2011. In his first-year coaching at Lindsey Wilson College, the men’s soccer team went undefeated, winning the National Championship.

In the following three years the team went to two more final four appearances in 2012 and 2013, and one round of 16 appearances in 2014. After Lee's 4 years of coaching at Lindsey Wilson College, he accepted the head coach position of the Derby City Rovers, a team in the Player Developmental League (PDL) in the U.S.A for the Summer of 2015.

Lee continued his coaching in elite youth playre development at SC Freiburg Girls academy (Bundesliga) after arriving in Germany and had a number of his players graduate to the next level within the Club, be selected to the regional team and even feature in their respective youth National teams. Lee also helped establish and implement the technical playing philosophy into the local amateur football club JFV Dreisamtal.
